Argentinean tradition of generously served charcoal broiled steaks. The
BBQ ribs, parrillada, empanadas and chicken Caesar are excellent. The
stepped open patio is spectacular. John the ever-present owner and
manager is devoted to maximizing your dining experience for lunch or
evening dining. With the live music of Yoreme Badianna it all comes
together to make your visit to Casa Payo a time to remember.
In Argentina, eating well is an art with main purpose being to come together with friends and family and enjoy life in all its variety and abundance. It is with this intent that John Paul Lane and Associates founded Casa Payo in 1996. The restaurant resides in what used to be the family home of John on Zacateros #26. All of its recipies are secrets of his grandmothers, passed down through the generations.
Casa Payo's specialty and most requested are its cuts of beef. For vegetarians there is also an extensive menu of filling salads, baked potatoes, queso fundido and creamy soups. With Casa Payo's generous servings, one must be careful to save room for their delicious dessert- try the chocolate cake. Margaritas are 2x1 daily and Thursdays feel free to bring your own bottle of wine to compliment your dinner.
